It's Monday...

I am not a morning person. I am not a Monday person. However, I woke up at 5:40am today, not feeling great, so got up. I am almost never the first one up, especially on a Monday! But I got up, showered, put on laundry, had coffee, read a chapter of my book, and made cinnamon rolls for the kids. My youngest LOVES when I get up super early since I always make a treat. LOL

And since I'm up so early (I am in CA, so I know it's not early by east coast standards...) I decided to get my blog updated before we start school.

Here are my latest cards for 365 Cards blog. You must check out the cards on this blog! I am so humbled to be part of this DT! Not only is the rest of the DT super talented, but so are the guest DT members, and the gals who post their cards each week! If you've not had a chance to check out the site, go today and spend some time blog hopping!

This card was for Sketchy Sunday. Loved this sketch and I followed it pretty closely. The green paper is Little Yellow Bicycle (I think, it came in my TNT kit a few months ago, so I am not sure) and the scraps are some old K&Company from my scrap bin. I loved the shine of the green paper, so chose some shiny buttons to go with it.

This next card was my challenge for today. The challenge is called "Imagine This" and the card had to include an image of the sun, or to convey the feeling of sunshine in some manner. How'd I do?

The paper is a sheet of Scenic Route, from the Grafton line I think. The greeting is a chipboard embellie from Scenic Route. I added the little SU stamp to the chipboard.

I'll try to finish scanning my projects from the last TNT kit today and get those up for you to see by tomorrow. I also decided to start designing my own blog background - spent most of Saturday on that. I have it mostly designed, but it won't load properly, so I'm "debugging" it (mostly, I'm saying naughty words in my head because it won't work!). I hope to get it all finished by next week.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Both cards are fantastic Gloria, but I love the sentiment of the 2nd one! I hear ya on Mondays and mornings - I'm not big on either of those myself :)
