365 Cards - Girl Friday

Since today is Monday, it's my DT day for 365 Cards. As I told you yesterday, it's also Cosmo Cricket week, and my paper kit is Girl Friday. The challenge for 365 Cards is to make a girlie card, and use the word "girl" on the card. That's pretty easy with this paper! Lots of pink!

The stamps are Close to My Heart (girl) and Stampin' Up (friends). I found the pink ribbon in my stash.

I added some Dew Drops to the flowers and to dot the "i" - just to give some girlie sparkle! Other than the white cardstock, all the paper here is from the Girl Friday paper line.

I also used Sketch #16 from Card Patterns. I've not been able to play there for a long time, so it was fun to print some of the sketches I've missed.

Is this paper not cute?! I love it. I hope you love it too, since I'll be playing along at 365 Cards all week again. I won't use Girl Friday every day, but I hope I can use it a bunch! (See, I'm such an over-achiever that I've made most of my cards for the week - benefits of being on the DT - advance warning of the challenges! Rats! There I go cheating again!) I hope you visit me this week, and also check out what the DT and wonderful readers of the 365 Cards blog do with the challenges. It's a fab group of ladies. (No men playing along, as far as I know...)

Another family note: My 17 yo son Nathan is going in to get his wisdom teeth removed this morning at 7:30. Please say a prayer for him. Poor kid! He's set to graduate from our homeschool this month, so this is a terrible graduation gift! Here he is so you can "see" him when you pray!

  2. Love the card - and that's not much of a graduation gift! You need to get him something else - for actually graduating and to make up for the wisdom teeth gift!

    Thoughts are with him!

  3. Love your card, I really would like some of those gorgeous papers as they are so bright and cheerful.

Good luck to your son having his wisdom teeth taken out. I was very lucky that I have had no problems with mine by I understand people can be in a lot of pain with them.

    Will keep fingers crossed xxx

  7. Hi Gloria,
I love your card today, it is bright and funky and girly of course lol. I was reading through the comments and noticed that Shari said she would be thinking of your SIN today hehehe Gloria did you sin? Just kidding anyone who makes lovely cards doesn't sin lol but it was funny to read it. It's amazing what one change in a word can do isn't it?

I hope everything went well for Nathan today. He's in my prayers. I'm new to your blog, came by way of your hat pin article at scrapbooking.com, I'll be back again. Have a great week. Cyndi :)

  10. Your son is so handsome. He will be fine. He is young and strong. But I said a prayer for him anyway.

Your card is too stinking cute. Love the whimsical feel to it.
