This is the perfect post title for today! Considering that yesterday I was called a cheater and all manner of things! I have been framed I tell ya! I admit to cheating on challenges...but I honestly did NOT think I did yesterday. I was thinking outside the box. I was called a rabble rouser and a corrupter of others! Can you believe that?! Harsh, man. These women are a rough crowd!
Ok, all kidding aside (ok, so that's a fib) the challenge for 365 Cards today was to create a card that has a frame. So here you go.
I cut Mr. Owl with the Cricut Expression using the Storybook cartridge, out of brown Bazzil. The rest of the paper is Close to My Heart. I decided to rough up the edges a bit, and added a tag with the greeting. This card is big, like 6x5.75. It's a tad too big, but I did not want to waste the die cut.
I scrap lifted myself as I made a similar card a while back for Card Sketch a Day. Here's that one, which I actually like better.
I like the extra layers and the ribbon. Truthfully, I think I need to stop making a card every day as I really can't hit a home run every day and it frustrates me! LOL
A-dorable...I truly think I am one of the lone peeps that does not own a cricut...that owl is simply a-dorable!!!
ReplyDeletethese are awesome, gloria! love that owl :)
ReplyDeleteGloria you crack me up girl!!! I love both of your cards but if I had to choose I would choose the second one and that is because it is more vintagy which is what I love. Don't you just love the Storybook cartridge?

ReplyDeleteGreat card and I think the jury is still out on who did and who didn't follow the rules.
ReplyDeleteI tried to post a funny comment for Rose, and I had a typo in there that - well, let's just say would have been horrifying had she read it! LOL So...funny comment stays with me. Love ya Rose!
