For this card, I attached the yellow fabric to a sheet of white cardstock using the Xyron. Then I embossed the fabric with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The fabric had a sort of brown "distress" look to it, but after embossing, I rubbed more brown ink onto it.
Here is a better shot of the embossing. I printed the sentiment off the computer. I am in love with my computer-generated sentiments! Here is a shot of the flower I made by cutting paper with scallop dies (Spellbinders Nesties). I cut some scraps of Basic Grey and some old sheet music. I added a chipboard "washer" and a brad. If you love my flower, you need to get in on the next flower swap over at CropStop! (Check the Swap folder of the Message Board.) If you ARE in that swap, this is the style of flowers you'll be getting from me.
This next card also has fabric for the background. I purchased a bunch of quilting quarters at Joann Fabrics. (Don't ask why! I don't even sew!) This cranberry paisley was one of the fabrics in my stash. I used the Xyron to attach it to the background paper, then added a bunch of vintage looking items. The "ladies" were cut from some Graphic 45 paper.
I did another computer-generated sentiment.
Check out the stickpin. It's K&Company and has been in my stash for about 5 years! This card was published in the June issue of Scrapbooking.com Magazine.
