I know. I know. You are all screaming, "CHEATER!" right now. The 365 Cards challenge for today is "Imagine This" and technically does not start with "S"! But...the real challenge is to use the image of the SKY to inspire your card. HA! So there!
Ok, I did have to cheat. I did not get any of the Earth Love sky paper in my Torendi kit (one of the other DT members got it). So I had to use this piece of Sassafras paper instead. But I did use the cardstock, rub-ons, and twill from the Torendi kit!
I stamped the greeting (Technique Tuesday Christmas stamps) on the rub-on tree with Staz-On ink. I have to admit, I am not very happy with this card. It's not my style AT ALL. And...well...it does not do it for me. So...I went ahead and used Stickles on the mushrooms and flowers too. In for a penny, in for a pound! (For those who are confused...I have a love/hate relationship with glitter!)
So there you have it. I played all week. Even if I did have to cheat and turn in a bad card for today. But a whole week without me cheating would have been just WRONG somehow! Come back tomorrow for the 365 Cards Sketchy Sunday!
Here is this week's CropStop Embossing Challenge. I used the Cuttlebug Pumpkin Harvest folder on some green cardstock. I rubbed a bit of ink over it just to distress it a bit. I also used my trusty Close to My Heart edge tool to rough up the paper. The printed paper here is my find of the week - a stack of 24 Glitter Spooky papers by Pressed Petals...for $5 at Big Lots! Woot woot!I added some buttons and rhinestones to finish it off. The large purple button, floss, and gems are from my October MacMae Card kit. I'll be showing cards from that kit all next week, so stay tuned! Come back tomorrow for a new 365 Cards Sketch!
