365 Cards - Day 365!

For those of you who follow this blog and the 365 Cards blog - the end of the year is here! Can you believe it?! Day 365 has arrived! It is unreal to me that we've gone through 365 sketches and challenges! I have enjoyed my time on this team more than I can say. It has a wonderful leader in Pam, an amazingly talented DT, and the sweetest followers! What a winning recipe!

Without further yakking, here is the final sketch for 2009. Pam was trying to force me to do white space and clean and simple! I just know it!

Here is my card. I stamped a background onto kraft paper, and then hand stitched with some variegated pink floss.

Pretty simple, right? But then I had to add this fabbie flower! I cut some scallop circles out of Basic Grey Lemonade paper, then inked the back of them with Tim Holtz distress in in Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, and Shabby Shutters. Then I sprayed both sides of the circles with my "Gloria glitter mist" and let them dry. Once dry, I made this flower. The leaves are Making Memories. The stamps are all SU.

I pierced holes in my paper with a pin, but then decided I wanted to stitch with some floss. I don't really know how to sew with a machine, but I used to be a cross stitcher, so this was easy peasy to do by hand.

So that's it 365 days down! I hope you've enjoyed the ride.

I am up again tomorrow with the FIRST 365 Challenge or our new year! But, then you guys knew I was NUMBER ONE, right?! Pam is going to have a sketch DT, so I will only be doing the Monday challenges from now on...unless I decide to jump in and play along. I do that from time to time. More opportunity to...think outside the box! (Not cheat! Never that!)
