Now, on to OCC Sketch #6. I loved this sketch!
I dragged out some 7Gypsies and Paper Loft paper for this card. I love 7Gypsies products, but I don't see a lot of it around any more, sadly. I don't think my LSS carries much of it, or if they do it flies off the shelf! I used to buy everything they put out, but it's been a while. Then again, they have some stiff competition in Graphic 45 and Webster's Pages.
I used some yummy lace and a hatpin. I love this romantic vintage style. I could create stuff with old bits and pieces all day long! The stamp is from an Autumn Leaves set called Romance of Spring. I don't think most of the stamps in this set have ever been touched by ink! All the stamps have text backgrounds, which makes them super cool to work with. I ended up adding a button to the center of the flower. I tied some twine through the holes to make it look even more shabby.
Check out my faux stitching. I'm loving this technique. I did not punch very straight so distressed the edges of the cardstock to hide it! I did not want to redo my stamping and button, so I got creative!
I also decorated the inside of the card. Wonders never cease!
Check back later today as I'll have a few more sneak peeks of the Apron Strings Designs March card kit.
