Let's See What's Up Today...

I am not sure I have shared this with bloggie land before, but I suffer from depression from time to time. It's normally seasonal, and mostly mild. But it does make life rough sometimes. I notice that it gets worse when I have a lot of "free time." I am happy to report that I have been so busy I have not had time to be depressed! I also suffer from insomnia, a by product of the depression, I guess. Well, I've been sleeping like a log lately! So, all of this design work is paying off...not in money, but in peace of mind! Priceless!

Before I get to my cards for today...do you want to win some Graphic45 paper? Do ya? Well, they are having a contest! Check it out HERE. This also explains the note from the DT Coordinator yesterday asking the DT to make some stuff with this paper line. So watch this blog for my creations! (Normally, I cannot show you may G45 stuff until it appears on their blog, but this will be an exception!)

Now, I do have some cards to show you! I worked with the Apron Strings card kit for May. Lori asked the designers to PLEASE use only what's in the kit. She has a lot of beginners and newbies for customers and we were making it rough for them to make the projects. So...as hard as it was...I did NOT touch my stash for the cards this month! Everything you see is from the kit!

The kit has a fabbie 6x6 pad of DCWV retro papers! I love the blue/teal combo! I did pull out a border punch for this card as I was trying to match the May Sketch (created by me!). The rub-ons were in the kit, however! Aren't they fab?!

Here is the sketch.

I used the Jenni Bowlin paper, combined with the DCWV for this card. You can see that it's perfectly fine to mix paper lines and paper companies! Nothing bad will happen! Except that you will need to buy MORE paper!

This next card is my fav of the set I created! Again, I used the DCWV retro. I also am a huge fan of twill, so was happy to see some in my kit! The "stitching" is just rub-ons...I did not try to sew on my card!

I'll show the rest of the cards tomorrow!
