365 Cards Day 106 - SRM Stickers Week!

Before we get started today, make sure you click the link to play in my RAK game! If you can pick out my fib or fibs, you can win a prize! Be careful...don't let me fool ya!

365 Cards has a fab-tastic sponsor this week: SRM Stickers! I confess I do love clear sentiment stickers. They are about the only flat stickers I still use. I love SRM Stickers so much that I applied for their DT call a while ago, but alas they did not pick me for the team. But I don't hold a grudge! I still love their stickers! {wink} And, man alive, they were so generous with the 365 Cards DT! I have a whole bunch of fab stickers to play with!

Now, on to 365 Cards Day 106. That Pam, she's a tricksy one! She asked the DT to pick their favorite challenge from June 2009, and she would add a twist to it! Sounds...easy.... Not so my lords and ladies. Not so! I picked Day 96 (2009) which was Fun with Fabric. So Pam gave me this twist: stamp a background on the fabric. Oh boy! I confess that I "thought outside the box" a bit.

I made a card with this fabbie Cosmo Cricket De Lovely paper. Then I stamped the apron image (Lockhart) onto the pink gingham fabric. I ran some white cardstock through the Xyron, and stuck the fabric to the cardstock. Then I colored parts of the apron with a pink Copic! You have to be very careful as the ink bleeds a fair amount.

I then cut the image out and popped it up with foam tape. I used more of the gingham fabric to make a ribbon for the side of the card. Notice the apron is not frayed very much...seems the Xyron adhesive acts as a sort of fray check! Super cool!

I added a button and a SRM Sticker sentiment. I also added another sentiment to the inside of the card.

And I want to say this American Crafts cotton candy paper is a perfect match for the De Lovely paper!

Before I sign off I want to give a shout out to the ladies that took my Graphic45 mini album class at Gee Gee's on Saturday! You ladies rocked that album! I was almost late to class due to a miscommunication about the start time, and arrived only 5 min. before class time! But, we got right to business and finished before 4pm! I was shocked and proud of those hard workers! A big thank you to the ladies who purchased extra kits! The class was such a big hit that I'll be teaching it again in July at Jazi Crafts! So if you missed it this time around - here is your chance to take it next month!
