Now on to my card. I am one of the featured DT members on the Graphic45 Blog today, with this card.
I love these papers! I have used Transatlantic and Botanicabella for this card. It's not really a girlie card, but not 100% manly either. It can be used for just about anything.
I stamped onto the paper with Heartfelt stamps, then cut out the image with Spellbinders dies. I inked up the edges and added this vintage heart brad. I also found this amazing "net" ribbon in my stash. I forget where I got it, but it's just such an awesome texture.
I turned my card into a birthday card, but you could also use this as a Father's Day card. I already had a card for my husband and I don't normally send my father-in-law cards as he does now really "get" my papercrafting. He thinks I "junk up" my cards and photos. He's a good cook, but the man knows nothing about creating with paper!
I also used a bit of an old book for my background and some fabbie pins. This is one of those cards that I just love how it turned out. Don't you get a kick out of projects that just "gel" for you?!
On and end note: My daughter, Laura, and I had an amazing time at the Breaking the Mold conference this weekend. We had some great (if draining) talks and cried some tears. But we bonded and really felt the Spirit move over us. I felt healing come into my life, but also saw the need for more prayer and healing. And my daughter was blessed with some amazing witnesses for Christ in the area of obedience to God and trust and love and marriage. It was an special weekend!
Ohhhhh... beautiful card and so elegantly made.
