365 Cards Day 126 and 127

Well, I told you in my early Monday post that I did not have anything to show you for 365 Cards, as it is "guest designer week." You all know you cannot believe a word I say! {grin} Actually, I checked the 365 Cards Blog last night before I went to bed and got to see what the Monday Challenge was...and then I woke up super early (on my one day that I could sleep in!), then it was another nasty, marine layer day...so....I made cards all morning! Yay, me!

I loved Pam's sketch for Sketchy Sunday, and I have not played along with a 365 Cards sketch challenge in a LONG time! So, I combined the sketch with the Monday Challenge - Be inspired by the saying: "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue."

I am super happy to have Jan take over for me today, but it just felt too strange to NOT make a card! (It's a sickness, what can I say?!)

I let the saying inspire me by making it into a "recipe challenge" of sorts. Here is what I used:

Something Old: the skeleton leaf and the watch charm are both SUPER old junk from my stash.
Something New: The Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper and the Prima flower are both new. In fact the flower just joined "the stash" last week!

Something Borrowed: I guess the buttons are borrowed. I think they were from some of my daughter's baby sweaters!
Something Blue: The blue cardstock and the blue printed paper.

I am in love with this Cosmo Cricket paper! I have it in the 6x6 pad and also some of the prints in 12x12....so much paper so little time!
