I am also featured again today on the Graphic45 Blog. I get the giggles every time I see my work posted somewhere. It makes me feel like a Diva. And my friends are cracking up right now because I tell them all the time how great I am! {grin} And now I can show them proof! {HUGE grin}
Anyway...here is the layout that I made for Graphic45 using the Christmas Past paper line.
I've scrapped this photo before, a long time ago, but it's such a cute photo, that I wanted to try it again using this fantastic G45 paper! (I used We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Deck the Halls, and Jolly Old St. Nicholas.) This is me with Santa when I was nearly 3 years old. Check out my velvet outfit!
Here is a close-up of the alphas. The letters are some chipboard Li'l Davis that I got for like $1 at the San Diego Scrapbook Expo. I jazzed them up by covering them with a thin layer of glue, then adding Cat's Pajamas Glitzy German Glass to them. (You can purchase this glittery goodness at My Favorite Things.) My pal Melody is on the MFT Design Team and hooked me up with some of this stuff! It's actually crushed glass, so be careful when you use it. I did cut my finger on it trying to scoop it up off the table.
It looks like snow, right?! I wanted to stick with the vintage theme, so used an actual vintage postcard on my layout. I found a whole bin of these postcards at a shop in Vermont last summer. Many times folks charge way too much for these vintage pieces. I want them cheap since I plan to USE them, not collect them. This place had bags for them for $5. Lucky me!
I also used a felt flower from Maya Road, and some of their pins. (I always want to say "her" when I talk about Maya Road products!) That DT sure rocks the house! Anyway, I really like these felt flowers. I have been known to say that I HATE felt, but...these flowers made me change my mind!
So there you have it! Christmas in August! I think I need to work on some fall stuff. And I think Graphic45 needs to come out with an addition to the Playtimes Past line that has more school stuff in it. What do you think?! That's my vote for Winter CHA 2011. {wink}
