365 Cards Vintage Love Blog Hop - Day 267

This is DAY TWO of the 365 Cards Vintage Love Blog Hop! Here is how it works:

Each DT Member has included one specific item, design element, or technique on her card, and you will have to visit each DT blog to find out what it is. At the end of the week, Saturday's challenge will be a Card Recipe, and you must use those 10 items on your card. You will need to blog hop all week to collect the 10 items. (There is no item for Saturday...the challenge is the recipe card.)

On Sunday you visited the 5 Sketch Team blogs and got 5 of the items. If you missed that part of the hop, go HERE at Pam's blog to begin. Starting today you will hop to one Challenge Team blog each day to get the rest of the items. Remember, you must leave a comment on each of the DT blogs during the week to be entered into the drawing!

There are 3 prizes to be won this week, and there are 3 different ways to win.

1) The first is the usual way - just participate in the daily challenges and earn up to 7 chances to win the random drawing. For example, on Sunday you must make a vintage card using the sketch. For today...well read below to see what you must do for today! For the rest of the week the Challenge Team will tell you the daily challenge and give you your recipe item for Saturday.

2) The second way to win is to leave a comment on each of the designer's blogs - on their blog hop posts (but read carefully, you may have to answer a specific question to qualify). Pam will choose a winner from all the comments on the blogs for the week. Some DT members may also be offering a prize! So READ CAREFULLY!

3) The third way to win is to participate in the Card Recipe challenge at the end of the week. Meaning, the Saturday challenge counts once for the Daily Challenge and once for the special Recipe Challenge!

For complete details, visit the 365 Cards Extra Blog.

On to the Monday Challenge - Day 267!

Yesterday you hopped through the Sketch Team blogs collecting your items for the final challenge on Saturday. Today, you collect one item here. A few of you guessed the correct item from my Saturday post.....

STICKPIN or HATPIN

That's what you must collect here on my blog for the recipe challenge that will be posted on Saturday. To participate in today's challenge, just make a vintage themed card using a fancy pin and post it to the Monday Challenge spot at 365 Cards. Save an extra pin for the Saturday Recipe Challenge! Here is my card.

I used Graphic45 papers, naturally! I am very blessed to be a member of the Graphic45 DT! We get the most AMAZING product to work with. And so much of it! I am happy to share the wealth with my 365 Cards teamies and participants! I used two pins on my card. I love pins! These are both from Maya Road.

The fabbie gold doily is from the candy department at Michael's!

The greeting on the inside is Hero Arts.

For a chance at one of the LARGE prizes from 365 Cards, leave a comment here telling me YOUR favorite vintage item. Is it antique buttons? Lace? Fabric? Pam will draw a name from all of the comments, from all the DT blogs for the week. However, I will draw a name from all the comments on this post to win another prize!!!

On Tuesday, you will hop over to Audrey's blog to collect the next item.

Now, for the prize winner from Saturday's post...by Random Generator is #7 - Denise. Please email me using the addy in the left sidebar and I'll get your prize out to you!

Just a note: The "die cuts" from my card on Saturday are Unity stamps! I stamped them and cut them out by hand!

Have fun hopping this week! I will have a card next Saturday, using the Challenge Recipe! Just to see if I can do it! Best of luck to all you hoppers!

  1. WoW... I never would have guessed you cut that by hand :) they look too perfect mine would have been all wiggly (and masked by distressing).

You guys have one of the most interesting hops I have ever seen! :) So exciting to be a part of it!

Now I'm off to finish some vintage cards :)

    Hugs,

  4. Wow. Your cards are gorgeous. I've never really done anything vintage I think. You guys are making me think. I think my favorite would still have to be distressed flowers. If that works.

  27. Morning!

I have a burning question Gloria - What do you do about the sharp end of a stickpin? What if it gets sent to someone with small badly behaved children who start stabbing each other with it, for example! It's yet another ingredient I've never used on a card (but only because I've failed to do any challenges this year!(.

I like the old style pictures people use on vintage cards, like your lovely German style santa a few posts above this one.

  31. Gloria! Love your cards and thanks so much for the comments you have left for me! Kim told me that she has 'instructions' she gave you for my arrival in Hawaii (can't wait to see that girl!) That will be fine, but just so you know, one kind turn deserves another! Uhmmm, wonder what your favorite gift from Hawaii would be? Do let me know if you have any special requests! Thanks again and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
