CPC Sketch Tuesday #85

Another month over! It's hard to believe that tomorrow starts the last month of 2010. I am in shock at how fast this year has passed. So much has happened in the past 11 months. Some of it good, some of it horrible. But, no matter, for us, time marches on.

Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. ~Ephesians 5:15-17

Here is the Christian Paper Crafts Sketch Tuesday #85. If you are making your own Christmas cards, I hope this will help you out!

I made an A2, or rather a 5"x7" sketch and card this time. I don't make this size very often. I just don't care for the larger size. But every so often, I have a stamp that is on the larger side and need a bigger canvas. For today's card I wanted to use this Tim Holtz pine tree stamp. It's about 5 1/4" tall, so I needed a longer card than my normal size.

I stamped the trees onto white cardstock with Ranger Distress ink, then I misted them with Diamond Glimmer Mist. The ink ran and made a watercolor look. Plus the mist gives it a shimmer, which you can't really see in the photos.

The paper is all SEI. Some has glitter and the rest has shimmer. I added a few sparkly snowflakes and some pearls. The bit of twill you see is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This card is also for:

  1. Gloria...thanks for leaving some love at my blog :-)
I love the tree stamp you have here...and all the paper layers! I really like how you have each one with black behind it...makes them all pop! Personally I like how the ink ran a little...gives it that Misty...look of snow.
    Hugs!
