I colored my image with Copics. I love that you can change the theme or mood of the image by changing the colors you use. I went with blue to give her a winter feel. That way I could use this YUMMY Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper! I purchased this 6x6 paper pad last year and only used a tiny bit of it. I've used the new Jovial line a bunch lately, so wanted to give Eskimo Kisses some love!
My layout inspiration came from a sketch I saw on the Basic Grey Challenges blog. It was challenge #32, so it's too late for me to enter my card, but I loved the sketch. I changed it up a bit, as always, but you can still see the bones of the sketch in my card. I used the Spellbinders lacy and smooth circle dies, and the EK Success border punch. I also used an EK success snowflake punch. I put some Stickles on the snowflake, and a pearl. It's hard to see in the photo, but it's all sparkly. The ribbon has some sparkle to it also. I think I got the ribbon from CropStop.
I wanted to use all four of the items from the Paper Sundaes list - I have blue, punches, and ribbon, but forgot about embossing. So I put that on the inside of the card! I used the Cuttlebug snowflake folder, then rubbed some pale blue ink over the raised image. The greeting stamp is a very old foam stamp from Stampin' Up. But I love it, so I've kept it in my stash!
