Paper Sundaes Challenge #48

Happy Sunday, peeps! I hope all of you are finding time to do the things you love most this Christmas season. My family decided to attend our old church this morning for the Christmas Cantata. Our new church does not "do" Advent, and we really miss some of those traditions. One thing we enjoy every year is the Cantata, so we decided to visit our previous church for the day.

My husband and I spent yesterday shopping. Today is our oldest son's 19th birthday (Happy Birthday, Nathan!) and we had to finish up some shopping for him. And we managed to {almost} finish our Christmas shopping! Plus we had lunch out! Always a treat! It did not feel much like Christmas...more like early fall! The weather was very warm, and here in So. California the few fall leaves we have are at peak color!

Now, on to the Paper Sundaes Challenge for today! You may make anything you wish...as long as it's NOT a square! Our fabbie sponsor for today is MelJen's Designs. These are super cute digi stamps. I used this apron stamp! You know how I love an apron!

I paper pieced the apron with Memory Box and Pink Paislee papers. The background is Melissa Francis paper. I used a Maya Road house chipboard to create this fancy gift tag...or ornament. I almost AWAYS make a square card, so I had to go way out of the box for this project!

I also made some red wrinkle ribbon to tie at the top of the tag. I made several batches in Christmas colors. I love using this ribbon. Mostly because you can tie a messy bow and get away with it!

I made the roof of the house by attaching a silver doily to it. I added some floral items and silver Stickles to give the tag some sparkle.

If you like this tag...wait until you see the other tags I made...but you will have to wait until later in the week!

I am also entering this in these challenges:

Really Reasonable Ribbon - Winter theme/anything but a card
Stamp and Show - Holiday Greeting

  5. Love this Gloria! I totally thought when I saw this on the DT blog that the top of the card was lace! Looks so great using a silver doily! Love the red ribbon too, is it the type that you just sprinkle with water & it crinkles or do you scrunch it by hand? I've never seen it here so just always wondered. Have a Happy Sunday :)
