For me, this time of year also means mailing out hand-made Christmas cards. For my Paper Sundaes Challenge, I've made another Christmas card. This one is sort of silly...and will go to one of my brothers back east. Just to tease them that I get to dress in short sleeves this time of year!
The challenge for Paper Sundaes this week is to "cut it out." Which means to do some sort of fussy cutting on your card. You should cut out your image or paper piece, or hand-cut something. We have an amazing sponsor this week - Simon Says Stamp! My cutie image is from CC Designs, and she's called Fiona.
I stamped little Fiona, then colored her with Copics. I paper pieced her hair band, shirt, and shorts using Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper. She's holding a Christmas ball in her hand.
I used Nesties to cut out all of the circles, including the eyelet circle. The greeting is a Studio G stamp, stamped with Stampin' Up Rose Red ink. I've been trying to use up my Eskimo Kisses paper...but I still have a ton of the pad left...after 2 years of using it! I dyed more seam binding to make pink wrinkle ribbon. I used Ranger Distress Spun Sugar ink, Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist (Diamond), and water. It's so yum! I topped the ribbon with a glittery snowflake and a pearl.
Oh, and this week is a special 2-week challenge at Paper Sundaes! You have an extra week to play along! We won't be posting a new challenge on December 26th. The next challenge will post in the new year!
Check back tomorrow, as I have 365 Cards, then on Tuesday I have a CPC Sketch. I will also have a special Graphic45 project one day this week...or next. {wink}
