Once Upon a Springtime CHA Sneaky Peek

Don't ask me why we call these "sneak peeks" when we pretty much show you the whole nine yards! Plus the Graphic45 Once Upon a Springtime line was released back in November! But, here are the projects I made using the Springtime papers and the new Hampton Art stamps.

When I talked to Diane at G45, she told me she really liked a tag I had made for the G45 blog and said, "do more of that." So, I recreated the tag using the stamps. And this is how it turned out.

I cut the tag shapes with the Tim Holtz die, which is so great. I can cut the tag base and the papers for the front and back. No more trimming! I just zip the paper through my Big Shot and ta-da! Tags! Of course I used my Spellbinders dies and some of my hand-dyed seam binding. I love making the colors match my project. So fun!

Naturally, I also used Tim's Tattered Florals die to cut flowers to make my vintage rose. It's all covered with sparkly Stickles. I put a brad trough the layers an then added some Stickles to the brad.

Here is another view of the flower. To learn how to make the flower, see my tutorial here. The bloom I made here is a bit more "tidy" than the one in the tutorial. You just don't crumple the paper for this version.

The stamp is from the Once Upon a Springtime 1 set. I used Ranger Distress inks and a watercolor brush to give the stamp a soft color wash. I used some Stickles for the wings.

This very cool crystal was an amazing find at my LSS, Stamping Details.

This card is on the simple side. Sometimes you just need something that is more...sedate!

The G45 papers are so lovely. This soft, vintage pink is hard to match, but once you find the right color combo, it comes together so nicely! You can see a bit of a peek at the inside of the card. I always decorate the inside, especially if the card if for a show or a store. In the past I did not "do" the insides, but a friend convinced me to start doing it about a year ago, and now I always do it!

I stamped an image from the Once Upon a Springtime 1 set and colored it with Copics.

The button is from Jenni Bowlin. I used an image from the G45 tags set to cover the center of the button. It just pulls the whole thing together. I also used some of the G45 Trim. I inked the trim a bit to give it more of an old/vintage look. Like it was a bit stained and truly old.

Next card...I used the green papers in the set again. This is a very moss green, which I love.

You can see how much I love my Spellbinders lacy circles die and the EK Success border punch that sort of matches!

Check out these blooms! I get all of my flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. They are in the UK, but their shipping is very reasonable and they ship FAST! I "sugared" the flowers with a bit of Stickles.

For this sparkly button, I glued a bit of the G45 paper to a flat button, then covered the paper with Stickles. Once the Stickles dried, I had a very fab button!

The stamps for this sample are from the Once Upon a Springtime 2 set. I stamped the fairy with Ranger Distress Peeled Paint ink, then embossed with Stampendous Kaleidoscope Transparent embossing powder. For the post mark, I stamped with Ranger Distress Ink (Walnut Stain) and embossed with Ranger Distress Vintage Photo powder. In person, this image is very shimmery!

Last card! I hope you are still with me! I used the blue papers this time. Love the teal!

The image is from the Once Upon a Springtime 3 set. I colored the image with Copics, then I added Stickles to the fairy wings.

I created another flower from the paper scraps. This one is a bit more "crumpled" than the one I made for the tag above. Fun and easy! I used Maya Road pins and more wrinkle ribbon.

Here is another view of the flower.

I hope you enjoyed my sneaky peeky. I'll have more tomorrow!
