Graphic45 Sweet 16 Tag

Well, it's Monday again! I am not sure what happened to my lovely weekend! But, I got online today and saw that Graphic45 was digging in the "vault" and is showing a tag I made back in the winter, right after CHA! I had totally forgotten about this project!

One of my favorite things to work with is shipping tags. I like to buy the bulk box of them at the office supply store! And, you can buy all sizes! My favorite is this larger size, which I think is called a #8, but whatever. It's about 6x3 inches in size. (I know there are dies you can buy to cut your own tags, and also you can get "top of the line" tags in smaller amounts online, but honestly, just go with a friend and buy the the big ole box from the office supply place!)

I covered my tag with Graphic45 Once Upon a Springtime paper, and then grunged it up. That covers up any mistakes you make in cutting. {wink} I have to confess, when I made this tag I had just been knee deep in Fairy projects for Winter CHA and was sort of "over" the whole concept. However, my daughter LOVES fairies. She likes to draw them, color them, hang photos of them, and so forth. So, I decided to make her a Sweet 16 tag for her birthday...which is not until October! So, check me out as a good mom! {Let's never mind about the part where I forgot I made this, k?}

I used Spellbinders S4-293 Lacey Circles, S4-114 Standard Circles Large, and S4-116 Standard Circles Small to cut out my Fairy and the cardstock mats. I put a bit of Stickles on the wings. Very sparkly! I added a bit of Prima pearls to jazz this up.

I also made some rolled roses. I am crap at making these! But, I had stopped by the Core'dinations booth at CHA and they showed me how to make them the "easy" way. You just draw a spiral on a scrap of paper, and then TEAR it along your line! Roll up the flower and glue it down! Add some Stickles, ta-da! I also hand cut some leaves. I am super proud of these flowers...and may never make them again! I added some sparkly American Crafts Thickers to finish off the tag. {Make sure you use extra glue on your Thickers! Those babies like to fall off!}
