Are You a Domestic Goddess?

A Graphic45 Domestic Goddess that is! This paper line is the feature on the Graphic45 Blog today! DT member Laura made an AMAZING mini album with this collection, and I made...what else...a card!

I love sewing notions, fabric, dress forms, patterns, and so forth. But I cannot sew to save my life. My one goal in the next year is to take a sewing class to learn some basics! It's a shame that I never bothered to learn to sew since my mom and many of her sisters are quilters. Live and learn! Being a non-sewer does not keep me from loving sewing paraphernalia!

I collect pins by the ton, it seems. Nothing says vintage to me like sticking a pin in it! I also used the fabbie G45 papers to make some fabric swatches by trimming around squares and rectangles with pinking shears!

On the inside of the card, I put more swatches and a fun element cut from the paper. I am not much of a "service with a smile" kind of gal, so this saying always makes me giggle a bit. My kids and husband are always in shock when I actually cook something! Since I've been a "domestic goddess" for 18 years, I think it's ok to give up a few of the jobs, right?! Like cooking and dusting? To make more time for paper crafting!

  11. I absolutely adore this line and have been looking for it to purchase for a year at least! Living in the boonies and being disabled has its distinct drawbacks. I must get online and do another search. I must have this to do an album on my maternal grandmother who taught me so many of the crafts, sewing and cooking I do today!

  12. Hi Gloria
I was searching on-line for sewing graphic today.
I am designing a new blog header and just loved this retro sewing graphic. I see it is no longer for sale in your shop.
Is there another way to access this or buy it?
    Many Thanks-Kimberly
