Y'all know how I love me a sketch, right? Well, I was blog surfing the other day, and found myself at the Cosmo Cricket Blog. And you further know that I really like their papers, so...imagine my joy when I saw they had a sketch contest going! You have to make a card to match this sketch, which is by Debbie Olson, whose work I love!
Anyway, you are supposed to make a card, post it to your blog, link to the Cosmo Blog, and you have a chance to win a pub in Cards Magazine! How could I pass that up?!
Here is the card I made, using Social Club, Togetherness, and The Boyfriend papers.
I thought I'd make a first day of school card, for some reason. My kids started school August 15th, but sadly my poor, neglected homeschooled kids did not get back-to-school cards! (Debbie homeschools her son, too...but I bet HE got a card!) Check out the fabbie scalloped edge! That's a NEW Spellbinders Edgeabilities die set called Classic Scallop.
The stamps I used are from Unity, called Learning Year by Year, which is one of their store kits. It's a great set for scrapbooking, but works for cards, too.
I hope you get a chance to play along with Cosmo Cricket, too! Have a nice weekend! Make something crafty!
