I created a perpetual birthday calendar by altering an old post bound mini album (8x8) that I found in my stash. I covered the fabric album with NEW! Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue papers, including the spine and inside covers. I converted a boring album, that was collecting dust on a shelf, into something fresh and new.

I glued Petaloo flowers and chipboard letters to the front of the album to create a stunning floral-themed project!

I tucked a few of the Tropical Travelogue postage stamp images into the flowers. I love vintage postage!

These flowers are FANTASTIC. So vintage and beautiful!

The album contains pages for each month to use for recording that month's birthdays. I've added a mini 2012 calendar to each page. These little calendars can be replaced each year with new calendars, making the album even more useful.

The little calendars are a free printable, found HERE.

The record sheets are "trash" that I had left over from a card box project I made about 6 years ago! Yes, I save EVERYTHING! How could I throw these out?! I knew they'd come in handy one day!

Do you love these mittens?! They are Maya Road chipboard, covered with Graphic 45 papers, Petaloo flowers, and sparkly snowflake buttons from the craft store. There is not much call for owning mittens when you live in San Diego, but I confess that I love mittens anyway!

For today's post, I created pages for January, February, and March. To see the rest of the year, visit my blog in February!

For February and March I used papers from The Magic of Oz paper line.

I sprayed the chipboard wings and heart with Tattered Angels mist. The red is called Candy Apple but it has a lot of gold in it! So fantastic! And it matches the flower!

March is all about the green, so I put Emerald City paper to good use!

We are not of Irish descent, but I did find a shamrock button in my stash!

Here is how the binder will look once the pages are added.

There will be some empty page protectors in the back for adding address labels, stamps, and even some cards!

You can see I covered the back and the spine of the album with paper. I had to use Beacon Fabri-tac adhesive to get the paper to stick to the fabric album. It worked like a charm!

If you make an everlasting calendar book of your own, I'd love to see it!
