Welcome to the January Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!
You should be coming to me from Dawn's Blog. If not, go back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and start the hop! You don't want to miss any of the stops!
I used the January Ribbon Club Assortment for my project. This assortment is all about Valentine's Day! How can you not love pink, white, and red?!
I confess that I love Valentine's Day, even if my family does not celebrate it. My husband despises Valentine's Day. He's amazing the rest of the year, so I let him off the hook for this day. {grin} However, I have fond memories the parties at school and how my dad used to bring my mom, younger brother, and me boxes of chocolates. (If you knew my dad, you'd know how out of character it was for him to do such a thing!)
When I saw this little image from Stampin' Up! it brought me right back to my childhood Valentine's Day parties!
I colored the little girl with Copics, and then used Spellbinders die templates to cut out the image and a heart-shaped mat.
I like that the image is vintage, but that I can still use some bright, modern colors with my papers. I used We R Memory Keepers Love Struck 6x6 pad.
The sentiment stamp is a very old Close to My Heart mini stamp that I've had for ages and ages!
Now - for the FANTASTIC ribbon! I used red sheer with satin stripes, white double ruffles, and pink puffy heart grosgrain ribbons on my project. I like to layer my papers, but I also like layering ribbon and trims! All that layering makes me so happy!
Really Reasonable Ribbon has some of the most amazing ribbons, for such a wonderful price! The joy of getting a package of pretty ribbon in the mail knows no bounds! {giggle}
I hope you enjoyed your visit!
