As I wind up my year with Spellbinders, share a few final projects, and reflect on the past 12 months, I wanted to share these two projects with you. My faith is a big part of who I am. When you visit my blog, it is pretty apparent that I am a Christian. I do not bash you on the head with my Bible, but I don't hide the fact that I am a woman of faith.
I am thankful that my various design teams have been supportive of my need to share my faith and they allow me to create what is in my heart. The photo on the page below was taken at the Spellbinders team retreat April 2011. The photographer caught me laughing. It's pretty much how I look most of the time. I want my joy to show on my face. (I have scrapped this photo before, but it's so rare to have a good photo of myself, that I could not help it! I know readers hate seeing the same photos over and over from designers, but please give me a break this time.)

I created a flower arrangement around the cross as a focal point. I love the Spellbinders rolled flowers! They come in several sizes and work well with the "flat" flower shapes also.
I used the Mix'd Media Playtime templates to cut and emboss the word "pray." The letters are to be used to spell out "play" and "art" but I played "Scrabble" until I found other things I could spell, and came up with "pray"! For my journaling, I typed up the Scripture on the computer and printed it on my printer. Then I cut, embossed, and stenciled it using one of the templates from Floral Tags.
I used Girlie Grunge Labels to create these tabs. If you have one of those label tools, you will recognize these labels! Once I had cut and embossed my words, I inked them with dark ink to make the lettering stand out. You could also sand them. There are 34 words and symbols in the set.
The next project is an altered frame. I pick up these frames at the craft store all the time. They are usually $1-$2. They are easy to alter and make great gifts. I turned this one into a Scripture frame.
The scripture is a Unity stamp.
I used the new M-Bossabilities folders to emboss paper for my background. I have always loved embossing.
More flowers! Plus I pulled out the heart die templates and gave them some "love" as well. I like all my tools, even the old ones!
I hope this post inspires you to share your faith through your art!
