Olde Curiosity Shoppe Sketch and Layout

Hey, Blogger Peepers! Happy Wednesday! I know, I am pretty chipper today! I finished all of my CHA projects and am now free to work on my July DT projects,of which there are not very many, and enjoy a bit of summer vacation!

ETA: Did you see the new Matchbox Staples at Graphic 45?! They come in three sizes: 12x12, 8x8 and traditional matchbook dimensions of 3x5x1 and 1/2 inches! I cannot wait to work with these!

I have a project that is a Graphic 45 "left over" from Winter CHA, plus a sketch I made for you.

I love sketches. I never start a page layout unless I have a sketch sitting on the desk. I will either draw one or use one I found online. There are times when I pull a few layouts that I like and combine them into a new sketch!

(vintage photo courtesy of Magic Moonlight Studio)

I made this layout with Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers. I love this paper line, especially the teal and rust colors, with that little bit of green and black. Yum! When I saw the vintage photo, I knew I had to make a layout. I just love everything about the photo and the layout. In fact, I think I'll pretend this is my great-grandmother just so I can put this in my scrapbook album.

I inked the chipboard bits to match the paper, and then added the fabulous flowers. You can see a bit of metal frame poking out also. I really enjoy putting these little surprises on layouts.

I rolled a bit of the paper and placed it into the little bottle. Just a little extra touch.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout today. Check back tomorrow for more inspiration!

This is my first time visiting your blog. (I came through Graphic 45 blog.) Your layout is nice and simple, and The Ladies Diary papers are fabulously intricate and colorful. Each time I look at your page, there is more to see. This will definitely not be my last visit. TFS!
