Really Reasonable Challenge #51

Hello, peeps! Here is the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #51. You are to make a project for a child's birthday, plus ribbon. (Yes, I am back, safe and mostly sound from my Alaskan Vacation! I managed to catch a terrible cold, but I am working through it and hope to be well FAST! CHA projects are due next week! I must feel better!!!)

I always need cards for kids, but I find them hard to make. Maybe it's more that I don't want my fantastic creations being ripped apart by an 8 year old who is high on cake! I created this quick card which could work for a boy or a girl.

I really like the cloud paper, and the thought of the silly owl floating in the clouds gave me a giggle!

I colored the image with Copics and added Glossy Accents to the balloon. I used sharp scissors to fussy cut the image. I matched the postage edge with a border punch. I placed the punched edge under the ribbons.

I used two ribbons for my card: turquoise chevron striped twill and white double ruffle ribbon.

I hope you play along with our challenge!

Cardstock: American Crafts brown, Stampin' Up! Whisper White
Designer paper: My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Fly a Kite
Stamps: Hampton Art Stamps: Hot Fudge Studio: Words and Icons
Ink: Copic Markers; Memento Tuxedo Black
Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon: Chevron teal, Wrinkle Ruffle white
Tools: Fiskars Postage edge punch, Fiskars micro tip scissors
Adhesive: Ranger Glossy Accents; Scotch 3M tape; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares
