Gloria Stengel - YOU ARE HERE!

The product that the designers were given to work with was Fabric Tape from Love My Tapes. I have never used fabric tape before. It is sort of like Washi Tape, only fabric. It was a dream to work with. I received two different tapes: a green dot and a blue stripe.

I used the Olive Green Dot tape for this card. It matches the greens in the paper perfectly. And, yes, I CAN make a simple, flat card when I want to! {giggle} Well, kind of flat!

I pleated some of the tape at the bottom of the card. Since the tape is sticky on the back, it was easy to get it to pleat. Plus, the adhesive is not super duper sticky, so if you make a mistake, it's easy to pull it up and start over.

I placed two strips of tape on the top of the card.

I used the Sky Blue Stripe tape for my second card. Since I have never used Fabric Tape (or Washi Tape for that matter) before, I was unsure what to do with it. I ended up using it like I would ribbon, only without the bows!

I love yellow and blue together and thought this striped tape was perfect for the dots and floral of the paper.

I pleated the tape once again. Such an easy, but pretty technique.

I have tons of tape left over! I see more projects in my future...and now I need more colors!

I hope you enjoyed hopping with us today! Make sure to visit all the designers listed above, plus the Scrapbook Steals Blog for more inspiration!

  10. I loved the pleating, probably way easier than using ribbon which I seem to have trouble with. I love both cards you made!

  11. It appears that the fabric tape would be easier to use than the washi tape or ribbon when pleating.
