It seems like forever ago that CHA Summer took place! It was only in July, but time seems to have zipped by! Already all of my companies are talking about Winter CHA! I still have projects from summer that I want to share, like this one which I made for the Hampton Art Stamps booth.
I was given the 7Gypsies stamp collection, plus a lot of other products from 7Gypsies, Canvas Corp, and Clearsnap and told to "make some stuff." One of the items that came in my DT box was this canvas envelope. I went to town spraying and inking it, and stamping on it! I used the Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx to stamp on the canvas, and they worked so well!
I should tell you, the photos are NOT vintage photos. They are images from 7Gypsies. I crumpled and inked them to make them look authentic.
I created a floral collage with some flowers and embellishments. I rolled some lace to make a rolled rose as well. Most of these items came from Pro 31 Designs. They have great vintage-inspired items. The large "speckled" rose was white, but I sprayed it with glimmer mist to "pink" it up!
Here you can see a close-up of how I sprayed and stamped the canvas envelope. I added the large grommets and some lace trim to turn it into a wall hanging.
This was one of those "let your hair down and create" type projects. I really like making projects in what I call my modern, graphic, vintage style. The engineer in me likes straight lines and a clean layout. I always say that I make a clean and simple project, then add junk to it. But THIS project was pure vintage, collage, messiness! There are days when I let myself just wallow in the mess!
I hope you enjoyed looking. Make sure you stop by the Hampton Art Stamps Blog to see what the rest of the team is up to!
