Before I share my post for today I want to wish my oldest son, Nathan, a happy 21st birthday! Not only is today 12/12/12, but you have reached that "100% legal" milestone! Have a great day and good luck on your finals today!
Hello and welcome to day one of the two-day DCWV/Hampton art Holiday Hop!
DCWV and Hampton Art are two companies that go above and beyond to provide a wide selection of products from classic, to vintage, to trendy and modern. So, when we decided to team up it was only natural that we would want to show you some variety.
Day #1 of our hop is all about vintage! Whether you are talking lace, pearls, and soft weathered colors or distressed, grungy, and aged, if you love all things vintage we have some beautiful projects to show you today!
Here is my vintage-themed card.
I stamped the clock image and colored it with Copic markers. I then added some sparkle with a glitter pen.
To create the button, I stamped the image with red ink, then used a circle punch to cut it out. For dimension, I cut five more circles from red cardstock and stacked them together. I then glued my "button" to the ribbon and twine.
I created my own custom paper by stamping snowflakes onto DCWV designer paper with Luxe Metallic Colorbox Queue pigment ink. I embossed the snowflakes with clear embossing powder. The metallic ink stamped up so nicely and the colors are to die for!
I love the soft colors in the DCWV Heirloom Christmas stack. You can add any colors you wish to it.
For the inside, I stamped and embossed more snowflakes. The greeting is stamped in Triumphant Red antiquing ink.
Now, hop on to Amanda's Blog.
Bet you want to know the prize you can win!
