CHA Reveal - Graphic 45

If you are looking for the Hampton Art Reveal, please scroll down!

Each year for CHA, Graphic 45 asks the Design Team to make one special project to be displayed together at the booth. This year we were asked to make a tag using Graphic 45 Staples and only papers with a black, kraft, and cream color scheme.

I was told to make a "small tag" for my project., so I used one of the new Regular Tag Album Staples for my tag base.

The Graphic 45 Staples collection contains wonderful products to work with! I used eight (8) different Staples. Can you find them all?

I created a flower with the Trim and Chipboard Button Staples. I did not sew the lace flower together. I simply used Scor-tape to fold it round and then glued the button to the top!

I painted the Metal Butterfly Staples with white gesso, and then stamped over the top with French Country stamps and black ink. The butterfly's body is a Chipboard Button and Stamped Metal Brad Staples.

I clipped on some postage images with a Metal Clothespins Staples. To make the word "timeless" stand out, I rubbed the pin with white gesso, and then I buffed it off. The gesso stayed in the impression, highlighting the text.

I tucked Ornate Metal Key Hole and Key Staples among the flowers.

And that is EIGHT Staples on one tag!

I had a blast looking for the perfect papers in the color scheme, and then seeing how many Staples I could add and still have a cohesive art piece! I have to say, I really love how it turned out!

  5. I love this tag! Wonderful job. You did one little thing that I've seen many others choose not to do and I've always thought if they'd only have...it would look so much better. I'm talking about the cut edge of your postage stamp designs. Many designers just cut them and leave the edge straight. That little cut, whether you did it with shape scissors or a hole punch looks great! Unless the product comes cut like that? I think most of the time I'm seeing fussy cuts from A Place in Time like that (that are left straight and need to be edged). Anyways, great job.
