Inspired By Stamping Inspiration Challenge #45

Inspired by Stamping offers an inspiration challenge every Thursday. The challenge lasts for one week, then a new photo is revealed! Here is the photo/color combination for this week's challenge!

My first thought when I saw this color palette was "use kraft paper." Well, that did not work out so well...

By the time I was finished playing around, this is the card that I had on my desk! I think my "red" is a bit closer to "wine," but I did stick with the off white and light brown! I was inspired by the shapes in the photo and also the feeling I got when I looked at the photo. I got the feeling of a warm, cozy party held on a winter's day. So, I made my card feel warm and cozy!

I pulled out the ISB Fancy Labels 1 die template to cut out my sentiment. The sentiment is from the beautiful Flowers Bloom stamp set. It is a bit "smudgy" because I was using chalk ink. I could not find a brown that I liked in my regular die inks! (I mean, really?!)

I layered it up a bit and used some lovely wrinkle ribbon to "tie" it all together!

I decorated the inside with more stamps from the Flowers Bloom stamp set. This card could be used for a birthday or anniversary. I love the font on the sentiments. Very classy and romantic!

Speaking of classy...I had a very classy helper during the photo shoot.....

This is 5 month old, 8 pound Milo! He is a big ole pest! But so cute! He loves my cards. Ok, he loves trying to eat the buttons, flowers, and ribbons!

Basic rules of the challenge: Please use the colors in our photo as your main colors. Upload your card/project to your blog or online gallery and leave a link to your project using the linky widget at the bottom of the IBSIC Blog post. When uploading to online galleries please add IBSIC #45 to your post. (Each challenge is up for one week.)
At this time ALL products (stamps, paper, dies) are welcomed with our challenge. You do not have to incorporate an IBS stamp set or flowers.
