Graphic 45 Altered Art Album - September Page

If you are looking for the Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge, pleas click HERE.

Last week I shared a Graphic 45 Altered Art scrapbook album with you. See the post HERE. I hope to get the album filled with pages as a gift for my daughter. I know I won't have it finished in time for her graduation in June, but perhaps I can finish it before her 18th birthday in October! {grin}

To make the album, I cut the stand off the bottom of the Graphic 45 12x12 Easel Album and then flipped the album sideways so that the binding spiral is on the left side. The album is now a "book" rather than an easel album.

I plan to create a title page, 12 monthly pages, and an end page. Since I am giving this album to my daughter as a gift, I will not be adding photos. I will attach photo mats to each page so that she can add her own photos.

Today Graphic 45 revealed the September page layout.

I created this page for my daughter to add a school photo. Since she will be attending college full time this fall, I used some of the childlike images from An ABC Primer and Place in Time, but I also added some stamped images that are more "grown up" oriented. I think this edgy page is perfect for her to use for a college photo.

I made my own custom background paper by stamping various images onto a sheet of An ABC Primer Grammar School paper. I also sprayed the paper with mists.

I cut out some images from the An ABC Primer collection and some from the September Cut-Aparts sheet of the Place in Time collection. They coordinate perfectly.

I sprayed some mists, and dribbled some of the ink to make splotches. (I hope this looks like ink and not blood!) I did some paper tearing, distressing, and crumpling.

I included a journaling block where she can write her thoughts about the photo she chooses.

I placed the layout into the altered Easel Album. To make sure I was using the proper page, I wrote the month on each of the blank pages with pencil. It is easy to mess up when you do pages out of order! {I am practically perfect, but not 100% perfect, so I labeled my pages!}

I hope to have more pages finished and ready to share soon!
