Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #77

It is time again for a Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge! The NEW Challenge is called "Things with Wings." Make a project that has wings on it , plus ribbon!

I knew right away that I wanted to use this NEW Graphic 45 Mother Goose paper for my "things with wings" challenge! I mean...Mother Goose...she has wings! I made a cute tag that can be used as gift packaging, a scrapbook accent, or even a door hanger! Add a "shhhh, baby is sleeping" message and you are all set!

I wanted Mother to have AMAZING wings. I fussy cut her and trimmed off her paper wings. I had some chipboard wings in my stash, so I inked them with Versamark ink, and then embossed them with embossing enamel. The enamel has gold flecks and glitter. I needed more glitter, so I used the RRR Satin Ribbon with Silver Metallic Edges for my double bow. I think this is the light blue, from the pastel assortment.

I glued the enameled wings behind the image and attached it to the tag with 3D foam squares. I decided to add a metal keyhole to the tag as well. I used some white paint to give the keyhole an "whitewash" effect.

I created some flowers and added more of the fun papers from the Mother Goose collection.

I wanted something fun for the bottom of the tag, so I made a "fringe" from the star printed Blue Mist Grosgrain. I simply trimmed small pieces of the ribbon into a flag shape and attached them to the back of the tag with Scor-tape. I needed some contrast between the star paper and the star ribbon, so I added a piece of Black Ric Rac.

I hope you enjoyed my Nursery Rhyme inspired tag....things with wings and ribbon!

  1. Lovely tag. Fun and cute. How do you cut your ribbon ends so perfectly. Mine always fray or are waggly (is that a word?)
