Just a Little Update

Hello, friends. I wanted to drop by the blog to give you a bit of an update. I have had a few sessions with the physical therapist and I am slowly improving. {insert clapping here} The PT said he was surprised and pleased with my progress over the past week. He gave me more exercises to do. Right now, we are working on stretching and mobility. He added one small strengthening exercise. He continues to be amazed at the poor condition of my back. (I mean really....you do NOT want to be considered interesting to your doctors!) I am hopeful that I will be back to my "normal" soon. Which is to say, I will still be in some pain and have limitations, but I will be on the way to a more comfortable situation. So, to my PT, Bob.....

I am up on the WorldWin Blog today, sharing this card that I made for last Winter CHA using NEW (finally released) Couture Creations product and WorldWin papers.

On a very sad note, my sweet, amazing sister-in-law passed away on Sunday.

Betty was married to my older brother, Larry. (Here they are at our family reunion, October 2012.)  She was in a car accident in January 2013, which left her paralyzed. She continued to suffer health issues, and contracted pneumonia a few weeks ago. She declined steadily, and passed to Glory on Sunday afternoon.

I thank all of you who had been praying for Betty over the past months, it was much appreciated. Betty was such an inspiring woman and I hope to write her story one of these days! She was a Child of God and had the biggest Servant's Heart imaginable! She was a crafter and we had many fun time together...mostly shopping for more craft junk! We had kindred spirits! She and my brother celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary in July. They were so well-matched and so perfect for each other. I know he will miss her terribly. As will all who knew her.

I am comforted to know that she is pain-free, and dancing the streets of heaven. My heartfelt prayer is that my dad and younger brother were standing with Jesus at the Gates to meet her and welcome her inside.

Your continued prayers are appreciated!
