I am a Bag Lady

Yes, it is true. I love me a tote bag. I must have 20 or 30 tote bags of various sizes and styles. You never know when you need to tote some stuff!

Imagine how happy I was when I wandered up to the Beacon Adhesive booth at CHA and saw that their make-n-take was a....TOTE BAG! I love Beacon Fabri-tac and 3-in-1 glue! I use boat loads of it. Happy day. And then, to my joy, they let me do the make-n-take! Woohooo!

Oh yes! They gave us this very nice, felt tote bag. It is about 18 inches wide and 12 inches tall, not counting the handles! A very nice, large bag! We were able to pick some of the large, burlap flowers (Canvas Corp) and whatever else we wanted from the bins of goodies! They pretty much just let us do our crafty thing and make whatever we wanted. Y'all know how much I love red, cream, and black....

I glued some vintage looking buttons to the centers of my flowers. The felt flower is a rose that I made. They showed us a fun technique for how to do this very quickly with scissors and glue. EASY! You sort of make a "pastry bag" out of the felt, and when you turn it inside out, you sort of gather it and it makes a rose. Trust me, it really does!

The sparkly leaves are from Prima. After I got home, I glued on some extra gems. Everything is glued down with Beacon Fabri-tac! And it is really "stuck"! (I do have some glue boogers to remove, but....all in all....it turned out pretty cute!)

Thanks to Beacon for such a wonderful project! I really must find out where to get those big canvas flowers. They make my heart go pitter pat!

That is all for today! Just a little postie so that you don't forget about me while I get going with some new crafty projects. {grin}

  1. OMG! I love it!!! My husband calls me "The Tote Queen" and that tote is fabulous! You just have to show us how to make that flower too. I'm armed and ready with both my 3-in-1 and my trusty Fabri-tac. (love my Beacons too)

  2. I also love Beacon's Gem-tac. It's fabulous and holds so securely. I even use it on self-adhesive gems, just to make sure they don't fall off my cards. Love, love, love this tote bag!
