Welcome to my first Heartfelt Creations post of the New Year! I know that you will love the new collections coming this year! Check HERE for your sneak peek of the January Collection, releasing on January 14th. The team will start to share the new collection next week, so watch for that! For now, I am giving some of the older collections a bit of love!
My inspiration this week is a photograph I found online (I am not sure of the photographer of this vintage photo, unfortunately). Every time I see this photo, I start to laugh out loud. These ladies remind me of my aunts. In fact my daughter said, "Mom, they look like your people!" So, I created a layout for my "found relatives."
I love to mix and match paper collections, mostly because it gives a whole new look to a collection when you combine it with other papers. I mixed Celebrate the Journey, Once Upon A Time, Countryside Evening, and a bit of All Geared Up Paper Collections! I love the vintage tans and creams combined with the teal. I also did a lot of "grunging" on this layout. I love to mix grungy elements with flowers.

I created some flower clusters with hand-made flowers, using the Tattered Blossoms stamps and dies. I tucked some "found items" into the blooms. I love the cream soda vintage bottle cap.
I have been using paint on my flowers recently. It gives them a soft, grunge look that is perfect for vintage projects.
Here is a close-up of some of the crumpled paper edges, plus another look at the flowers.
Creating stacked flowers is so easy when you have the Heartfelt stamps and matching dies! The center of these flowers is made with the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms template.
I love all the layers and dimension! Make sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see what the rest of the team has made!

ReplyDeleteI love this so much! The distressing is divine...and those flowers are so Oooh-la-la! They don't look handmade...they look like Primas...only prettier than any Prima I've ever seen. The photo makes me chuckle...and you tucked in so many thoughtful elements like the border strip, and the bottle cap (Love that!) lightbulb and brads. It's just perfection.
