Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - Butterfly Medley Card

Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! I wanted to share a blooms and butterflies card that I made using the February Release Collection, Butterfly Medley!

I love the large butterfly stamp and matching die from the Butterfly Medley Collection! It makes a spectacular butterfly! I had a Copic coloring day, and colored flowers, leaves, and butterflies for this card.

Start by creating a 6" x 5" card from orange cardstock cut to 12" x 5" and scored at 6" on the long side, making a top-fold card. Trim orange print paper from the Majestic Morning Paper Collection to 5 7/8" x 4 7/8" and attach to the card front. Trim three pieces of orange cardstock to 4 7/8" x 1 3/8". Trim three orange prints (plaid, dots, chevron) from the Butterfly Medley Paper Collection to 5" x 1 1/4". Attach the three prints to the orange cardstock strips. Attach the three print panels to the card front, starting in the top left corner and staggering the placement of the strips to the lower right corner.

Trim orange cardstock to 3" x 3". Trim orange text print paper from the Butterfly Medley Paper Collection to 2 7/8" x 2 7/8". Attach the text print paper to the orange square with foam tape. Attach the panel to the center of the card front with foam tape.

Stamp the large butterfly image from the Botanical Wings Cling Stamp set twice with black ink onto white cardstock. Color both butterflies with alcohol markers and cut out with the Botanical Wings Die. Spray the back of both butterflies with water and shape. Allow to dry. Using foam adhesive, attach one butterfly to the center square. Use foam tape to attach the second butterfly on top of the first, bending the wings upward. Create antennae from orange craft wire and glue to the butterfly.

Stamp the flowers and leaves from the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set twice onto white cardstock with black ink. Color the flowers and leaves with alcohol markers. Use the Botanical Wings Die to cut out the flowers and leaves. Mist the reverse of each element and shape them and set aside to dry. Stamp two sets of leaves from Open Leaf Cling Stamp Set onto white cardstock with black ink. Color the leaves with alcohol markers and cut out with the Classic Leaf Die. Mist the leaves with water, shape the leaves and set aside to dry.

Create a flower and leaf clusters as shown, gluing one cluster to the lower right corner of the card and one cluster to the upper left corner. Glue tiny beads and glitter to the center of each flower.

Trim ivory cardstock to 5 7/8" x 4 7/8" and attach to the inside of the card to allow for a stamped or handwritten message.
