Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - February Release!

Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! Today we are sharing the February Release - Butterfly Medley! The collection includes 24 papers, 2 die sets, and 6 stamp sets! Come and see this breath of spring collection!

I have been in a purple phase lately! I just love green and purple together! I created some pretty purple, lavender, and blue flowers with the new Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set. These flowers are so versatile! And such a wonderful companion set to the other flowers in the Heartfelt Creations family!

To make this card:

Create a 6" x 4 1/2" top-fold card by trimming black cardstock to 12" x 4 1/2" and scoring at 6" on the long side. Trim one piece each of ButterflyMedley blue script and lavender script papers to 5 7/8" x 4 3/8". Distress the edges. Attach the blue panel to the card front. Crumple the corners slightly. Tear off the bottom left corner of the lavender paper. Attach the lavender panel to the card front. Fold back the corners to reveal the blue paper.

Trim two 3" circles from black cardstock. Attach circles to the lower left and upper right of the card front with foam tape. Trim two pieces of Butterfly Medley paper into 2 7/8" circles. Distress the edges and attach printed paper to the black circles. Glue several loops of ivory twine to the area where the two circles meet.

Stamp the flowers from the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set onto lavender Butterfly Medley paper with black ink. Color the flowers with purple inks. Stamp the flowers again onto ivory cardstock with black ink. Color the two largest flowers with lavender and the remaining flowers with blue inks. Use the Botanical Wings Die to cut out the flowers. Shape them and set aside.

Stamp the leaves from the Botanical Rose Cling Stamp Set twice onto green Butterfly Medley paper with black ink. Cut out with the Botanical Wings Die. Ink the leaves with green inks and shape. Stamp the leaves from the Leafy Branch Cling Stamp set onto green cardstock with black ink. Shade the leaves with green inks. Use the Leafy Branch Die to cut out the leaves. Shape the leaves and set aside.

Create a flower and leaf clusters as shown. Glue flowers and leaves to the top of the circles on the card front, making sure to allow some of the printed paper to show. Make sure to allow the twine to peak out around the edges. Use a yellow alcohol marker to alter white pearls. Glue a pearl to the center of each flower.

Trim the "Life is Good" sentiment from Butterfly Medley paper and attach it to the lower right side of the card using foam adhesive. Attach an ivory panel to the inside of the card to allow for writing or stamping a message.
