Heartfelt Creations Wednesday - Watercolor Flowers

Welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! I have been playing with my watercolor pencils again! I made a CAS card with a water colored flower!

I have been making a lot of very elaborate and complex projects lately, and needed a bit of a break. So I explored my more "restful" crafting side and came up with this card.

Create a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" top-fold card by cutting graphite cardstock to 11" x 4 1/4" and scoring at 5 1/2" on the long side. Trim deep pink cardstock to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and attach the panel to the card front.

Trim watercolor paper to 5 1/4" x 4" and stamp the paper with the Large Elegant Word Background Cling Stamp using gray ink. Allow the ink to dry. Use onyx black pigment ink to stamp the small botanical rose image from the Botanical Rose Bouquet Cling Stamp Set onto the center of the watercolor paper.

Color the image with watercolor pencils and allow the paper to dry. Using light blue watercolor paint, brush the background and allow paper to dry. Sponge the edges of the paper with ice blue chalk ink and attach the image to the center of the card front.

Stamp a scrap of watercolor paper with the Only One Like You sentiment from the Everyday Hero Cling Stamp Set using onyx black pigment ink. Use the label strip die from the Cut Mat Create 1A Die set to cut out the sentiment. Sponge the sentiment strip with Spun Sugar distress ink. Attach the sentiment to the bottom center of the card with foam adhesive.

Create a bow from pink satin ribbon and glue to the top right corner of the card. Add a twine bow to the top of the ribbon bow. Tie twine to a pink button and glue the button to the top of the stacked bows. Use a wire-cutting tool to trim the length of two trinket pins, and then glue the pins to the right edge of the card as if dangling from the stacked bows. Line the inside of the card by trimming ivory cardstock to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and attaching it to the inside of the card.
