Craft Hoarders Anonymous March Blog Hop

Welcome to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous March 2016 Blog Hop! My blog is the first blog in the hop! After visiting me, hop over to Debbie Seyer's Blog next! For the full list of Bloggers, see the list at the end of this post! Keep an eye out for Bloggers who are giving away Blog Candy!

I know you are waiting to see what I found in my hoard this month! The item that inspired the project was a package of doilies that I purchased...who knows when?! The package says: Dainty Doilies for Decoupaging, Scrapbooking, and Dining. {dining? really??} They are made by Artifacts, Inc., Crafts From the Past. I have been hoarding them for AGES! Inside the package are 8" x 8" square doilies, large heart doilies, and 4" round doilies. There are 36 doilies in the pack. Who needs that many doilies? Me, apparently!

My daughter needed a wedding card to give to a friend, so I decided to use one of the 8"square doilies for the front of a large, wedding-themed card. (The card is 8" x 8".) I cut the doily in half and "aged" it with antique linen ink. Paired with Graphic 45 Mon Amour paper...oh la la! (The paper has only been in the hoard for about 8 months.)

Also from the hoard is the sentiment, which is from a set of Technique Tuesday stamps that I've had for some time and had never opened!

I also de-hoarded a heart frame die that I am not sure I have ever used. And a huge wad o'flowers was sacrificed for the card front. I tried to make the flowers look a bit like a bouquet, with bows and such. Some of the flowers have glitter on them! And the string bow is metallic!
I decorated the inside as well.

The top panel has space for my daughter to write a message to the happy couple.

The bottom panel has space for a gift card and another area for writing a message.

I am also entering this project into the Frilly and Funkie Layer It Up Challenge. I always have LOTS of layers! And, I am linking up to Berry71Bleu, to their March Mood Board Challenge. I was inspired by the pinks and by the phrase.

Thanks for visiting this month! I hope you are inspired to use up some of your stash!

Now hop on to Debbie Seyer's Blog!
