CAS Flamingo Invitation Card

I am up on the CutCardStock Blog today with another Clean and Simple Card (CAS)! I have created a simple birthday invitation card for a child's birthday party.

This card is simple to make, but so pretty and fun! You can easily personalize the invitation by using computer-generated text.
Begin by cutting Basis Black Cardstock to 11" x 4 1/4" and scoring at 5 1/2" on the long side to make a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" top-fold card. Cut Stardream Metallic Fine Gold Cardstock to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and attach the panel to the front of the card.
Cut Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4". Cut a diagonal section from the center of the white panel. Stamp the top panel with the sentiment, using black ink. (Or, print your sentiment first, and then cut the cardstock to size.) Use foam adhesive to attach the two white panels to the card front as shown.
Stamp the flamingo legs onto the bottom white panel with grey ink.
Using watermark ink, stamp the flamingo body onto Cotton Candy Pop Tones Cardstock. Stamp the flamingo eye and beak with black ink. Using a matching die, cut out the flamingo and attach it to the legs using foam adhesive. Stamp the wing with watermark ink onto Razzleberry Pop Tones Cardstock and attach it to the body with foam adhesive.
Computer generate the "tickled pink" message and print it onto Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Cut the sentiment into a flag shape and mat with Razzleberry Pop Tones Cardstock. Attach the flag message under the main sentiment with foam adhesive.

Use a tiny star punch and punch stars from Stardream Metallic Fine Gold Cardstock and Silver Glitter Cardstock. Glue the stars randomly to the card front.
The card has some dimension, but will fit easily into a standard, note-card sized envelope.
Cut Stardream Metallic Fine Gold Cardstock to 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" and attach the panel to the inside of the card. Print computer-generated invitation text onto Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and trim to size. Attach the white panel to the inside of the card.

(Note, there is no Pink Flamingo Park in San Diego, to my knowledge. I made that up!)
Have fun making your own party invitations this summer!
