Wish Big!

Welcome to another Conie Fong Art and Design project! I get to post a second inspiration project for May!
I chose to color this super cute little boy image, called Birthday Benny. He is so adorable in his little overalls! I printed the image at approximately 5 inches tall, which is a tad big for a card. I made my card base 6 1/4" x 5".
I started out coloring two versions of Benny's hair. I used a combination of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I have been working my way through the Kit and Clowder Skin and Hair Class, so I have been doing hair all the past week! I did the rest of the image with just Copics. I really like how adding the pencil to the hair gave the hair more texture.

I am very sorry that I did not write down the markers or pencils I used. I was coloring a lot of images, and this was just supposed to be practice, but it turned out so well, I decided to color it up and use it on a card!
Once I had the hair all colored, I did the overalls. To give the overalls some texture, I soaked a bit of denim fabric with blender solution and pressed it into the image. Make sure you don't give any other parts of the image a denim texture! Color everything else AFTER you texturize the jeans. {grin}

I pulled some papers out of my hoard of 6x6 and 8x8 pads. Some of this paper is very old, but...it's still good paper!
