It seems I am stuck in a bright, pastel rut! But I like it! I recently acquired the NEW Sugarspun Paper Collection, and "needed" to use it! I don't eat very many goodies, but I love to look at them! I love the bright and happy colors in this paper collection, too!I created a 6" tall by 5" wide, top-folding card. If you are puzzled as to why I make this size, it has to do with using up cardstock! When I start with a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, and cut it to 7" x 10" to make a 7" x 5" card, I have left over a piece that is 12" long and 5" wide! So, I just fold it in half and make a card!
I used a few of the prints in the collection for my card, then die cut the luscious image with the Circle Basics Large Die. I added the scalloped circle using the Eyelet Circle and Basics Small Die.
I used the Ticket and Tag Die to cut out the sentiment, which I popped up with some foam squares. I fussy cut the tiny cupcake from the paper and glued it to the top of my bow.
Someone asked recently how to get the most from the Heartfelt Creations collections when you are on a tight budget. I always recommend getting the basic dies, such as circles and tags, and then choosing a paper pad. You can fussy cut elements from the paper, and use the basic dies to build wonderful cards without breaking the bank. Add your favorite flower stamp and matching die to take your cards to the next level!
I used the pretty paper images to decorate the inside of the card, too. The sign at the top is fussy cut from the paper!
