I would love to know what I should color next?! Leave a comment below telling me what you would like to see:
1. Another monthly flower series
2. A 12-month Christmas image/card series
3. Monthly images other than flowers (if so, what type of image)
4. An alternating series of masculine and feminine images
5. A "Stamp Your Stash" series (I choose a stamp set from my vast stash, and color up some images each month for card making or tag making)
One lucky comment will receive a surprise from me! You have until August 15 to leave a comment either on this post or on the July post HERE for a chance to win!
For those of you just joining me, I have been coloring one image each month, using the Power Poppy digital flower images, found HERE. If you missed any of the previous projects, click HERE.
I also confess that I thought the white flowers were daisies when I started coloring....but they are actually Cosmos! But those come in white, too! The bouquet contains California Poppies, Cosmos, and Hummingbird Sage (which I had no clue what that was! I had to Google it!) The sage actually does have blue flowers on some species, so I am still doing fine!
The Countryside Bouquet digital stamp set I used for my August image is currently a $6 download. This image is also part of the Countryside Bouquet Deluxe stamp set, for $18.
The finished panel is 6 1/8" x 6 1/8". I have used a stitched square die to cut out the main image panel (which measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"). My plan is to display each monthly image at my desk, as shown below.
Here are the color combinations I have used for the finished project (listed in this order: Copics, then Prismacolor Pencils by name):

I tried to pick a favorite(s). Tulips and Sunflowers won. Your technique is amazing and the results - WOW. I love all the depth you get with the shading. I learn something from you each month. I would love you to continue with monthly images. You could do seasonal images: Winter (Snow scene, Christmas, Snowflakes), Spring (flowers, rain showers, sunshine), Summer (poppies, memorial day, 4th of july, at the beach), Fall (back to school, fall leaves, sunflowers). Anything you do will be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane! I am still thinking about what to do next. I love the idea of seasonal projects. I tried to do that with the monthly coloring, picking plants that were close to seasonal. But, I have so many things here that I could color, from coloring pages, to stamped images, to digital images...the list is endless. Folks really seem to want 12 months of Christmas...so that's a possibility!
DeleteI would love to see a "stamp your stash" series that might help me use some my own stash!
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is beautiful, as always, Gloria. I look forward to your floral creation every month. tfs
ReplyDeleteBeautiful for August. I would like to see #4 or #5.
