The Power Poppy image I used this month is called Shimmering Flight. This digital stamp set comes with gem and turquoise versions, plus the turquoise version comes with and without a dragonfly! So many options! I chose to color the turquoise with the dragonfly version!
I chose to color with Copic markers again this month, but I mistakenly printed the image onto the Speedball Bienfang Bristol Vellum, which is what I would normally use for colored pencils! I had already started to color with Copics before I realized that I had the "wrong" cardstock! I just kept going, and it worked out very nicely!
The cardstock did soak up a lot of ink, and I feel that the colors aren't as vibrant as I get with other cardstocks, but I did not have any problem with bleeding and everything blended well. Win-win!
The flowers on this piece are hollyhocks, which come in a myriad of colors! I chose a blush peach color so that the gemstone and the dragonfly would pop off the page a bit more. I chose cool grey markers for the silver jewelry.
I tried to make the dragonfly wings transparent, but once I added the glitter pen to the wings, a lot of the transparency I worked so hard for...sort of disappeared!
I Googled "turquoise jewelry" to see what sorts of colors to pick. I fell in love with some pieces called Pilot Mountain that had a lot of yellow-green in them!
This image was full of challenges for me! I find coloring flowers pretty easy, but adding in a dragonfly, plus silver and turquoise jewelry really stretched my skill set!
Here are the Copics I used:

This design looks fabulous in these colors. It is such a outstanding piece to color and when finished a masterpiece. I love the softer colors as well as the more bold ones. They all work. Thanks for the info on the supplies that you used.
