Monthly Coloring Series - April 2020

Welcome to the April project for the 2019 - 2020 Coloring Series! To read the introduction post for this series, click HERE. To see all the coloring series projects, click HERE
The Power Poppy image I used this month is called Ferns and Fungi. This digital stamp set comes with an image and a sentiment, plus a no-line version as well. It is on SALE right now for $2.99! This image is also part of the clear stamp set Woodland Carpet, however it is currently SOLD OUT.
I chose to color with Copic markers again this month, because I was pressed for time. Copic coloring is so much faster than colored pencil coloring!
This image contains ferns, mushrooms, violets, a snail and a moth/butterfly. I chose to color the fluttery creature as a pink moth! There are a number of varieties of pink moths! Who knew?
My challenge this month, was coloring creatures and mushrooms! But, I have to confess, coloring those mushrooms was so fun! A little bit of white gel pen finished them off nicely!

To create the background, I "washed" the markers across the paper to give a light covering. Then I used the "dot" method to create dirt.
Here are the Copics I used:

Ferns: YG97, YG95, YG23, YG21
Leaves and grass: G28, G07, G09, G17, YG11
Flowers: V17, V25, V22, V20, Y21, Y06
Blue mushrooms: B37, B26, B21
Red mushrooms: R89, W5, R29, R27, R24, E43, E40, white gel pen
Mushroom stems and snail: E44, E43, E42, E41, E40
Snail shell: R20, R11, R0000, tan gel pen
Moth: RV02, RV10,m RV000, YG01, YG11; Prismacolor pencil Hot Pink
Dirt: E49, E47, E44, E43, E42, E40
Sky: BG0000, BG000, BG01, aqua gel pen
The finished card is 6" x 6".
