I love the greens and purples in this mix, but I also love the fun prints on black!
I created a Halloween card and a coffin treat box with the ribbon club this month. (I know, who would have thought I'd ever say the words "coffin" and "treat box" in the same sentence?!)
I created a standard A2-sized card that is super simple, but has an adorable colored image on the front! I crated a fun bow with the Apple Green Plaid and the Halloween Confetti Dots on Black Grosgrain ribbons.
I stamped that adorable Power Poppy image (Feeling Fall) onto white cardstock and then colored it with Copic markers. (I recently purchased a huge stack of Power Poppy stamps! They are STUNNING and so fun to color! Watch for more here on the blog!)
I stamped the image again onto the inside panel, along with a greeting from Papertrey Ink. I sponged all around the paper with gray ink. Very spooky.
This little coffin is from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts (find it HERE). This is the miniature version. There is also a larger size. I sponged the chipboard pieces with Black Soot Distress ink, and then assembled the box. I wrapped a piece of kraft paper around it and added "studs" with self-adhesive pearls. I wrapped the lid with the Spider Webs on Black Satin ribbon.
I tied a loopy bow with the Apple Green Taffeta ribbon and glued it to the lid. I added a bow made from Violet Burlap String and a sparkly jack-o-lantern button.
I added some treats to the coffin box and put a cute message on the top.

ReplyDeleteGloria! What a fantastic use of the kitty-and-pumpkins image from our Feeling Fall set — it is quite at home in such a spooky — yet totally adorable — setting! Clever details abound in your card and candy box, but I think my favorite is how you used polka dot ribbon to play up the polka dots in the top pumpkin, and even echoed the colors. I am so glad you hipped us to your treasure over at the Power Poppy blog! Enjoy your day! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great comment, Marcella!
