Really Reasonable Ribbon September Blog Hop

I know it's been a lot of days between posts lately! The end of summer and the beginning of the new school year is such a busy time! As always happens after a blog dry spell, I have two posts today! If you are looking for the Vintage School Desk Tutorial, please click HERE

It is ribbon time again! I am here with the Really Reasonable Ribbon September Blog HopYou should be coming to my blog from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. (For the complete blog list, scroll to the bottom of the post.) After visiting me, hop over to the spectacular Ginny's Blog next!

Here is a peeky at the RRR September Ribbon Club Assortment. This assortment is called Too Cute to Spook Mix.
I love the greens and purples in this mix, but I also love the fun prints on black!
I created a Halloween card and a coffin treat box with the ribbon club this month. (I know, who would have thought I'd ever say the words "coffin" and "treat box" in the same sentence?!)
I created a standard A2-sized card that is super simple, but has an adorable colored image on the front! I crated a fun bow with the Apple Green Plaid and the Halloween Confetti Dots on Black Grosgrain ribbons.
I stamped that adorable Power Poppy image (Feeling Fall) onto white cardstock and then colored it with Copic markers. (I recently purchased a huge stack of Power Poppy stamps! They are STUNNING and so fun to color! Watch for more here on the blog!)
I stamped the image again onto the inside panel, along with a greeting from Papertrey Ink. I sponged all around the paper with gray ink. Very spooky.
This little coffin is from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts (find it HERE). This is the miniature version. There is also a larger size. I sponged the chipboard pieces with Black Soot Distress ink, and then assembled the box. I wrapped a piece of kraft paper around it and added "studs" with self-adhesive pearls. I wrapped the lid with the Spider Webs on Black Satin ribbon.
I tied a loopy bow with the Apple Green Taffeta ribbon and glued it to the lid. I added a bow made from Violet Burlap String and a sparkly jack-o-lantern button.
I added some treats to the coffin box and put a cute message on the top.

Thanks for stopping by today! Now, hop over to Ginny's Blog to see what she has for you!

Here is the RRR Blog Hop Order in case you get lost!

  9. Gloria! What a fantastic use of the kitty-and-pumpkins image from our Feeling Fall set — it is quite at home in such a spooky — yet totally adorable — setting! Clever details abound in your card and candy box, but I think my favorite is how you used polka dot ribbon to play up the polka dots in the top pumpkin, and even echoed the colors. I am so glad you hipped us to your treasure over at the Power Poppy blog! Enjoy your day! :)
