Since Monday is Memorial Day here in the USA, I decided to make a little four-fold card in honor of the day. My father, all four brothers, nephew, and many of my uncles served in our nation's military. I always want to honor their service. My dad, younger brother, and my nephew are no longer with us, making Memorial Day especially poignant for me.
I have been seeing this four-fold card all over Pinterest just now, so I thought I'd give it a try. (I have no clue who invented it, but there are tons of tutorials out there if you cannot figure it out on your own.) The beauty of this card is that it folds up to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" size, and fits into a standard A2 envelope! So...I also made a matching envelope for my card! The envelope is 6" x 4 3/4". I used Heartfelt Creations Everyday Heroes Paper Collection to decorate my memorial card. I wanted to keep this very masculine in case I decided to actually send it to one of my brothers. {grin} I actually forgot my one older brother's 66th birthday, so this would make a great gift to say I am sorry!
I also decorated both sides of my paper! When you have the stacks of paper that I have, you just need to use it up!
Thanks for hopping by! Hop on over to Archana Joshi's Blog next. DON'T FORGET...POST A COMMENT FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN A $25 GIFT CARD TO HEARTFELT CREATIONS!
