365 Cards - Cutting Cafe Week - Front and Center

Today is the last day of The Cutting Cafe Week at 365 Cards! I want to thank Regina Easter for sponsoring 365 Cards and the DT this past week. I had great fun playing with the images that the DT received! I hope to feature MORE of the cupcake images in the future...as they are hands down my favorite. I also want to thank Pam at 365 Cards for asking me to be on this amazing DT. I'm having the time of my life!

But on to today's challenge at 365 Cards...Front and Center. You must put your image in the center of the card, with lots of "white" space all around. The DT was also to use the strawberry image from TCC fruit set.

I have to say, of all the cards I made this week, this is my least favorite. But it matches the cards from the past two days, and I now have a "fruity" set of cards.

I printed the strawberry image out onto two colors of printed paper and paper pieced it. My dd said that strawberries are NOT green, but I liked using an unexpected paper for my berry. What does she know? She's 13 and does not like to paper craft!

I used my SU flower punch again to make a little flower to decorate my berry.
And here is the set of 3 kraft cards I made with the fruit images. As a set, I think they are cute.
I hope you enjoyed The Cutting Cafe week. Stay tuned to 365 Cards as there are MORE amazing sponsors to come! Like I said...this DT ROCKS!

  1. I'm LOVING this set, Gloria! What a fantastic idea! I agree with you, the green DP totally works with the strawberry - it actually gives it a fabric/quilt look - beautiful!

  4. gloria, love the 3rd card in your set. As you can see I decided to not do the 3rd card in my set and went with the baby card. I will finish my set this weekend.
